Baskets, beads, statues, ceremonial mask, mud cloth, African clothing, materials, shea butter, oils, incense and many other items. African foods, drumming and dancing. A good place to connect and learn about African arts and culture.

Zoppé Family Circus

January 9 to 18, 2026 • Mercado District

The Zoppé Family Circus returns to Mercado District, welcoming guests into an intimate, 500 seat tent for a one-ring circus that honors the history of their old-world Italian circus tradition. Starring Nino the clown, the circus is propelled by a central story (as opposed to individual acts) that features acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and plenty of audience participation.

Pantry Picnic with MAST and Subversa Wine

MAST and Subversa Wine invite you to explore our curated selection of pantry items during the Santa Cruz Farmers Market on Thursday, November 13th, from 5-7 PM.
We will be highlighting local makers such as Subversa, Monsoon Chocolate, See the Bees, and Barrio Bread. We will also feature other kitchen essentials, including items from Flamingo Estates and Lakrids Licorice. We’ll also be offering a dish or two from our favorite cookbook from Flamingo Estates. Sips, community, and delicious flavors are the highlights of our Pantry Picnic, and we hope you’ll join us!

The Mercado District on Tucson’s west side celebrates the annual, nation-wide Small Business
Saturday with special events in and around the Mercado San Agustín, the MSA Annex and the
Monier Building. Tucsonans are urged to shop locally grown businesses, rather than big box
stores, chain stores or online. Come spend the day in the Mercado District with your family
enjoying our 37 local businesses, live music, food trucks, and even a tour of Tucson’s birthplace,
then and now.

Highlights include:

● Local Gifts, Live Music, DJs, Food Trucks

Live music feat. Febbo, Fuentes, + O’Connor at Westbound from 6-8pm

Also: Birthplace of Tucson, Then and Now Tour with Mauro Trejo of Tucson Presidio
Museum and Kira Dixon-Weinstein of the Mercado District and Gadsden Company. The tour
will go through the District to Mission Gardens (San Agustín Mission) and back.

Donations of canned goods and non-perishable food can be brought to Mercado San Agustín
throughout the day to be donated to the local Community Food Bank. There will also be a
raffle to raise funds for the Food Bank.
