The Zoppé Family Circus returns to Mercado District, welcoming guests into an intimate, 500 seat tent for a one-ring circus that honors the history of their old-world Italian circus tradition. Starring Nino the clown, the circus is propelled by a central story (as opposed to individual acts) that features acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and plenty of audience participation.

Monier Building. Tucsonans are urged to shop locally grown businesses, rather than big box
stores, chain stores or online. Come spend the day in the Mercado District with your family
enjoying our 37 local businesses, live music, food trucks, and even a tour of Tucson’s birthplace,
then and now.
Highlights include:
● 37 Local Businesses ~ see full list of businesses here
● 100% locally owned
● Local Gifts, Live Music, DJs, Food Trucks
Also: Birthplace of Tucson, Then and Now Tour with Mauro Trejo of Tucson Presidio
Museum and Kira Dixon-Weinstein of the Mercado District and Gadsden Company. The tour
will go through the District to Mission Gardens (San Agustín Mission) and back.
Donations of canned goods and non-perishable food can be brought to Mercado San Agustín
throughout the day to be donated to the local Community Food Bank. There will also be a
raffle to raise funds for the Food Bank.
