Single Family Housing

The Mercado district was envisioned by Justin Dixon of Rio Development Company, who envisioned a community based on the principles of new urbanism. The master plan was designed by renowned architecture firm Moule & Plyoides favoring walkability, public space and community engagements. The innovative vision of the The Mercado District was later an award winner from the council of new urbanism. Justin Dixon along side four builders, PureBuild, Innovative Living, Tucson Artisan Builders and Barry Coleman, began construction on the infrastructure and new single family homes which were allowed zero setbacks, creating a feeling of being in an urban setting and feeling the quality of construction.
Currently there are only few lot’s available, because of the increased desire to be in a community favoring walkability and easy access to a vibrant downtown.
